WOYWW - 2 January 2013

2013, for crying out loud!  What happened to 2012?  And back to work for me today after a lovely Christmas break.  Anyway, welcome all my visitors from Julia Dunnit's WOYWW, and I hope the new year brings you everything you hope for.  I am still camping on the picnic table in front of the TV (craftily speaking)  and I am still working on altering bottles (if you were here last week and want to see how the Bottle of Firewater turned out, you can see the pictures here)

This time I'm going for a more "Arabian Nights" look - I plan on calling this one "a bottle of Djinn".  It needs some "jewels" added.  I had the house to myself on Monday so I made good progress, but the Love of My Life did complain bitterly about the smell of epoxy resin glue when he came home. so I'm going to leave it a few days before I glue on some acrylic gems, just for the sake of peace.

OK, so I'm off to visit some of the workdesks out there.  Thank you for visiting mine - you're always welcome, you know!

Another marvellous bottle in some beautiful subtle colours! You could do this to perfume bottles too I guess? Wonder if any of the chemists have sample bottles they just get rid of... Keren you never fail to get my mind racing. Hope the end of the work day finishes quickly so you can return to your temporary 'laboratory':) Hugs, Jenny #47

Hi Keren, I cannot see your actual word post but the pic of the altered bottle is absolutely stunning! Happy New Year to you and Happy WOYWW, Anne x #7

Wow Keren, another masterpiece, it's fabulous! I must admit to being partially onside with the love of your life, epoxy glues are sooo stinky. Still, , someone has to suffer for art!!

Hi Keren, love your bottle - the silver filigree is fabulous. I've just revisited your Davy Jones locker - it's stunning! No wonder you are so pleased with it. When I spotted your all-white card, I thought I'd found the wrong blog :) Quite a departure for you but it's lovely - I particularly like that 'tied together' folder. Elizabeth x #54
